Outfitted

Here's just a quick outfit from a couple of days ago...I'm catching up on old posts, so expect a whole slew of them right around now.

My cardigan is thrifted, my black tank that you can't see is from Old Navy, my shorts are from Forever 21, my shoes are from GoJane, and my sling bag was a gift from my mom, who got it from a Coach outlet.

I'm still trying to get the hang of these self-taken pictures...as you can see my poses are rather ridiculous so I apologize. I was trying to compensate for the slouchyness of the sweater, which obviously did not work out in my favour.

Glad for Gladiators

My sandals came! I basically love them...even though they kind of make me look shorter because they cut me off at the ankle...they're also sort of my skintone but tanner so they hypothetically are supposed to make me taller...

In any case, the shoes are great. This is the first time I've ever ordered anything from GoJane, and I was pretty worried. Thankfully, the shoes arrived in a quite timely manner and aside from the sole being super-thing and therefore not likely to last years and years, the shoes seem to be of fine quality to me. I actually really like the multiple buckles, not just for the style factor but for the adjustability factor. And the zipper on the back is a huge plus in terms of convenience.

Strip-Strap

In my quest to update my shoe wardrobe, I have been attempting to decide what type of shoes I would like. I've been looking at a lot of nude-coloured styles lately, because I love anything that will lengthen my legs in the least. I've also been quite captivated by the edgier, more strappy sandal styles with buckles and studs and bits and bobs.

This pair from Urban caught my eye, but alas, they are $58.


So I think these will be my new summer sandals: they were $20 from GoJane. The quality of the sandals may be dubious, but I will likely use them for the rest of this summer and a bit of next summer.

Scales or Snakeskin?

This has got to be the most killer pair of teenybopper discount shoes I have ever seen:


I saw these and I was kind of like those cartoons where someone's jaw drops all the way to the floor. Seriously? $24.99 for these beauties? It's so hard for me to grasp that these are from GoJane, a retailer along the lines of Wet Seal and Forever 21 that usually cranks out tight jersey pieces that redefine the word "sheer." Granted, I would probably have to see these in person...but really, they look absolutely gorgeous.

The site claims that they're "snakeskin" print, but doesn't this seem more like a fish scale print to you? The first thing I thought of when I saw these shoes was that unbelievable fish scale dress worn by Marion Cotillard to the Oscars:
