Bulls-Eye!

Just a couple of quick items I got at Target during a recent trip.

This blanket is plush and lovely and fuzzy and I love it and will hug it all the time in college. Totally worth the $9.99. I'm a shorty, so the throw size fit me, but for taller people out there, the XL Twin size is $18.


This bath brush looks kind of scratchy, but it's actually really great for scrubbing in the shower...esp. your back, which is kinda hard to reach. Think of it like the manual body version of a Clarisonic, for only $3.97.


I love love love this. It makes a great makeup remover, but can be pretty drying. I have the oiliest skin in the world, so I love using this. I do keep a travel-sized container of Lancome eye makeup remover, which I fill with this and water shaken up. I use that in the morning so that it's a little gentler. Ironically, right around the time I needed to repurchase this, they were selling 9.1 oz. sizes for only $5!


This little eyeliner brush rocks my world. I use it with my Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in Graphite Shimmer Ink and it makes lining my eyes so incredibly easy. Plus, it was only $5.99!



I have a huge weakness for school supplies, so when I spotted these Dror for Target folders for only $2.50 they were an instant snatch-up. So they're not as reliable as the plain old plastic ones...but at least they look pretty!

Bargain Bulls-Eye

This fashionable find from Target will probably end up in my closet soon...there is a whole array of things I'd love to purchase to fill up my $50 quota for free shipping.

This dress stands out though, because of the tiered hems and the cutouts along the sleeves. Plus it's only $15! I'll have to find an occasion to wear it to, though...

Lady In Red

Though it may be a Hallmark-inspired holiday, I do hold a soft spot in my heart for Valentine's Day. Strolling through the local grocery store, listening to "Build Me Up Buttercup" and watching frantic guys purchasing roses and chocolate just reminded me of how fun Valentine's Day can be.

I personally spent the day taking advantage of a glorious 50% off all items sale at a local thrift store, where I purchased an incredibly cute black and white houndstooth skirt for $1.50 and a pretty black pleated clutch purse for $2.50.

I also purchased a set of travel brushes. This is sort of a sad thing to admit, but I really don't have good makeup brushes. I've been wanting the Ecotools set for a while, but I actually ended up getting this Sonia Kashuk travel brush set.


I like the travel size of the brushes, and I'll most likely use them as regular brushes. Plus, they're $14.99 on the site, but I got them for $10.00. Also, the gold brushes are really pretty...is it bad that I take that into account when getting makeup brushes? I'll try to post a picture of mine, so you can see how big they are.

Finally, I finished the day by making an incredibly delectable set of chocolate covered strawberries with a friend. I won't lie, we did eat a couple fondue-style, but we were able to make some pretty professional-looking ones. It was definitely a very delectable Valentine's Day.

Of course, I did my routine online fashion perusing, and found two lovely red dresses that bring unattainable designer fashion to us mere mortals.

Leanimal Waves, On The Cheap

As you already know, I am a huge fan of Leanne Marshall's work on Project Runway, and I am eagerly counting down the days until her collection drops. Until then, I've noticed that her ideas are either very on trend or very inspiring, as many retailers have been embracing the structured, slightly waves-centric trend in their own clothes. These pieces are often the most expensive, as they are the most trendy, but I was able to find a shirt at Target for $8.99 in the clearance section that echoes the pleats and structure of a Leanne Marshall top without infringing too far into your bank account.



I actually just bought the grey one, along with a whole slew of other clearance items so I could get the "Free Shipping over $50" deal. You'd be surprised how fast cheap clearance items can add up to $50!

Another item I got was this simple grey T-shirt, which can be worn with a black high-waisted skirt for a very on-trend look. It can also be paired with dark skinnies and boots and some additional accessory (vest, scarf, blazer, statement jewelry, headband) for a clean-cut, casual look. Plus, it's a miniscule $3.99.
